the centerpiece is a video projected into a corner, featuring spoken word, subtitles, and a recurring click sound. the click evokes a compulsion to rewind, revisit, and re-examine moments—suggesting the tension of trying to hold onto something that’s slipping away. the video presents a narrative of memory tied to a difficult relationship or a strained familial bond, where themes of birth, dependency, and the violence inherent in these cycles become palpable. a thread tracing the center of the video reinforces this idea of connection, both fragile and binding. the imagery in the video—red, bubbling material resembling a boil—mirrors the sculpture below: bags filled with a blood-like substance, placed on low pedestals.
